Week 10 of Metamorphosis Monday and an Award

Hello! Thanks for stopping by my place to visit the re-do of my Pinkalicious craft studio. Thanks to IKE I have had the chance to have my room re-drywalled and all the things that come with that. Hopefully you are not getting tired of this transformation but it is working well for me in that I am able to share my before and afters here on Metamorphosis Monday which our wonderful hostess Susan of Between Naps on the Porch has been hosting for 10wks now. You need to be sure to stop by and visit her here so you can see all the others participating. This weeks MM post for me this will be a long one as I am also sharing the Lemonade award with some fellow bloggers thanks to Kathy who awarded it to me this past week.

OK. So this week's before/after photos are of some gold frames and my window treatment. For over 9yrs now I have collected numerous gold frames which I had hung up in two homes along a stairway wall. I loved looking for mirrors as I shopped and always made sure to keep them under $20. Well, after using them in three different homes it was time to put them away or so I thought. I decided that some of those would be great for my craft studio so out came the black matte spray paint. I think they turned out well, they did look prettier in gold but it was time for a change. See the very bottom of this post to learn how you can get your hands on some of my other gold frames that I am no longer using.

The other before and after photo I want to share is of my window treatment, the curtains are the ones I used prior to IKE only this time I am using rings and a longer curtain rod. I like the new look as it helps to make my window seem larger and it will be so much easier to pull the curtains closed in the evenings when I work at my desk. In case you are wondering why I bother to even close my curtains since I do have blinds well the night bugs love the light that shines through the blinds and so while I work I hear them flying into my window! It drives me nuts and so when I pull my curtains they stop. I plan on adding some type of bird feeder in front of my window so I can see the birds as I work.

If you are still with me THANKS! I know this is a long post, so now we move on to the award. I would like to thank the Academy I mean my blogging buddy Kathy for this gracious award. She has graciously seen me as someone who has a good attitude on my blog. Thanks Kathy! It is so neat to have made so many new friends via my blog and so when folks visit mine I in turn visit theirs and the cycle goes on and on. Here are the rules:

If you get Lemons than make Lemonade! Life is what you make of it and IKE has not beaten my DH and I down!
If you receive this award you must:
1. Put the logo on your blog or post.
2. Nominate at least 10 blogs that show attitude or gratitude.
3. Link your nominees within your post.
4. Let nominees know that they have received their award by commenting on their blog.
5. Share the love and link to the person from whom you've received the award.
I am choosing ten awesome bloggers who have made my life sweeter by their inspiring blogs:

Thanks for stopping by! Tuesday I will be posting a photo of the gold framed mirrors that I am no longer using and will be choosing new homes for them! So, if you are interested come back to see how you can be one of those lucky winners!

I love following the progress of this Post-IKE makeover. As someone who went through floods during Floyd almost 10 years ago, I sympathize! You are doing a wonderful job -- both with your makeover, and your outlook!

Keep up the good work, it's all so lovely.

Hi Nancy,
I was a first time visitor last week, and I love to watch your transformation unfold. I am not happy how it was forced on you, but it is looking great. I have pondering my little room upstairs, and I am getting ready to make my move. It will be for everything from crafting to contemplating the meaning of my life, so have a lot of requirements to fulfill! Have a wonderful week...Cathy
