And she's back... with Birthday Cards!

Hello Friends!

Well, I took a much needed break and didn't do much creating!  I tried a few times but I just didn't have my mojo going ya know!  Well, I had my niece and brothers birthday dinner to attend Saturday night and so I knew it was a chance to get back into my studio.  I made these cards today, two were cards that I was going to give and the other four were two each for my brother and dad to give to the birthday girl and boy.

They are very basic cards and I used lots of scrap pieces I had on hand and even though they are simple cards I loved how they turned out.  Hope you are having a great weekend and I hope to be back on more regularly!

 So I know that the card stock behind the cake looks red but it really did match the fuchsia diamonds.

We had a visit with Alexa yesterday and although it was short it truly was sweet, we love our niece and love her visits even more! Decided to use that day's Project 365 photo in a digital layout while it was still fresh in my mind.  As usual you can click on photo to see it in a larger size.

Here are some spinner invites that I made using a printable kit from House of 3, it's the Celebration Kit.

I decided to personalize it by adding a few digital brushes to it to add the birthday girls names. And some yellow crepe paper, love that you can dress them up if you want or just simply print them out, cut assemble and your done. Thanks for stopping by! A Card to End the Week

The sketch above is what I worked off of, as mentioned below I'm not sure if I had to use the circle but the birdcage is my take on it.

Just wanted to share a card I made late tonight to play along with a great blog I found recently. 2 Sketches 4 You and they are going to be celebrating a Year with an awesome giveaway! Click Here to find out more on that and to see the other folks playing along in this week's sketch. I wasn't sure if I had to use the circle shown in the layout but I decided to use the birdcage in it's place. I used a little Teresa Collins (polka dot paper) and a little House of 3 (birdcage). It only took me maybe 15mins as using their sketch helped me speed things along! Well, the hubby and I are heading to San Antonio TX for the weekend. We only live 4hrs away and so it makes for a nice getaway! Hope you all have a great three day weekend!

Janet Hopkins Rocks!

I know you must think by now that I'm the official House of 3 Stalker! Don't You! Well, I guess I am a little, but I'm the good kind of stalker, LOL. After all how can one not be when they, ALL three of them are so BRILLIANT! So tonight I got to meet Janet Hopkins and can I tell you how Sweet, Awesome, Funny, and Beautiful she is! I am so glad that I took her class, the women who were there were awesome and so sweet and talented! We took some of the House of 3 print ables, transparencies and created a wonderful art piece for our homes. She had buttons, old journal pages, awesome door knobs and then taught us some of her greatness. It was such a great time, and it was great to see how each person took what she gave us and made it their own. One piece that I am sharing is an incredible creation by Ashley, who was one of two first timers to the world of paper crafting! And let me tell you Ashley "ROCKED" her piece! This 20yr old took what Janet brought and changed it to suit her decor. She brought along some pieces to add to her art and a masterpiece was born! Another incredible piece was created by Linda, she took advantage of the store's great products to bling up her masterpiece! I love what she did and it left me inspired! Mother's Day and Blog Candy Alert

HO3 Mini Autograph Album

Hi there, as promised I am back with photos of my mini 4x6 House of 3 Autograph album. I am not done decorating it but for now here it is. I used some of my digital goodies from House of 3's House Warming Digital packages. I simply printed out the backgrounds I wanted and on some of them I did do some editing. For example I created the front cover transparency with one of the brushes and added some type to it. I did the same with some of the other pages till I got the look I wanted. I have a page for House Favorites, originally it said House Rules I simply erased the word Rules and added in the word favorites. On that page I plan to list three favorites for each of the three house of 3 ladies. The first to sign my book is the wonderful Heidi Swapp, I plan on getting Janet's signature on May 16th at a class I'm attending, click Here to see class details. Then last will be Rhonna Farrer, I'm hoping she is still planing on coming to teach at By Design in August. Hope you have a great start to the week! Tomorrow I will share photos of the store By Design where I met Heidi and where I've started taking classes.

Just a quick post to wish you all a great Tuesday! I also wanted to share a couple of photos of some art I created for my craft studio using digital art I bought from House of 3. The two pieces I created are the ones with the chandeliers. And get this, the background patterns are from them as well so I can print them over and over. Use them as pattern paper and make all sorts of stuff! The other two are pieces I bought from Rhonna Farrer's Etsy shop you should totally go get some by clicking here.

HO3's House Warming Party Weekend

New Blog Couture

If you visit my blog now and then you probably know that I like to change up the look of my blog and lately it has been frequently. I have been working on my Photoshop skills which are mostly lacking. What I know is mostly from surfin the net and visiting some sites that offer free tutorials. I have created my own blog headers in the past and just kept my blog background neutral. Well, if you follow my blog (I know I only have 9 followers, hee hee) you know what a HUGE Rhonna Farrer fan I am! Surely you have clicked on the House of 3 Blinkie and if not then WHAT are you waiting for? Well, Rhonna, Heidi Swapp and Janet Hopkins have started up House of 3 and it's already a HUGE hit! It's on their site that I purchased (for just $3.00 total) the background and header you see now. I have bought many other items from them, brushes, hybrid printable kits and other background/headers. So, I will warn you know that my blog will change often. It's become an addiction of mine, like shoes, purses and scrap-ing supplies. LOL I was off today and had a second company come in to give me a bid on flooring, a third is coming tomorrow morning before I head off to work so I better get to bed!
