My Saturday night with Heidi Swapp

Hi there! Hope you had a fabulous weekend, we did! It was another relaxing one. That makes two weekends in a row that the hubby and I slept in late followed by breakfast in bed. Yes, I'm spoiled and I absolutely love it and think I deserve it, lol. I work full time, and this past month my work schedule has been changed up. So, I am feeling out of sorts working between two office locations. Not to mention the extra time and miles as I work an hour from home. And so when the weekend arrives I just want to relax and do very little!

On Saturday, the hubby and I had been out and about running errands, did some fun shopping and grabbed an early dinner. It was a fun afternoon and then later on that evening I headed into my studio to see if I could create something. I was going to play with Rhonna's new line found HERE but I totally forgot we were out of ink!

So, I decided to pull out the few pieces of Heidi's new line that I bought at Archivers in Katy, Texas. We have a fabulous local Scrapbooking store closer to home but sadly they didn't bring that line in. Or maybe it's a good thing for me otherwise I would be there often shopping lol for it!

I wasn't sure what I was going to do and so I simply just moved paper around and this came together. I'm not sure what I'm creating, a journal of sorts I think but for now I like it! As you can see I need to add more to one side but that will come! Sorry for the long post!

Hope you have a great start to your week!

The stamped images above were created with a line designed by Rhonna Farrer, called Follow Your Heart for My Mind's Eye.

HO3 Mini Autograph Album

Hi there, as promised I am back with photos of my mini 4x6 House of 3 Autograph album. I am not done decorating it but for now here it is. I used some of my digital goodies from House of 3's House Warming Digital packages. I simply printed out the backgrounds I wanted and on some of them I did do some editing. For example I created the front cover transparency with one of the brushes and added some type to it. I did the same with some of the other pages till I got the look I wanted. I have a page for House Favorites, originally it said House Rules I simply erased the word Rules and added in the word favorites. On that page I plan to list three favorites for each of the three house of 3 ladies. The first to sign my book is the wonderful Heidi Swapp, I plan on getting Janet's signature on May 16th at a class I'm attending, click Here to see class details. Then last will be Rhonna Farrer, I'm hoping she is still planing on coming to teach at By Design in August. Hope you have a great start to the week! Tomorrow I will share photos of the store By Design where I met Heidi and where I've started taking classes.

Heidi Swapp

Hi All! Hope you had time to create on Saturday, National Scrapbooking Day! Did you know that was a holiday? A great one if you ask me, there were all sorts of sales in shops and online so and many are still going on all weekend. So, today I awoke early and decided to make a small 4x6 mini album for my photos and autographs of the ladies from House of 3! Today I met the Wonderful, Beautiful, Special, Talented and Funny Heidi Swapp. She was at By Design in Houston, TX. She taught a special event Friday, Saturday morning and Saturday night. The package cost $200 for both days and included dinner and it sold out in 2 days! Unfortunately I did not get to sign up for it. How sad! But, she had a demo scheduled from 1:30 to 3:00 for the customers that stopped in on Saturday. I convinced my DH to drive down to Clear Lake with me then we would go for an early dinner at the Kemah Boardwalk. If you are not familiar with our town, Clear Lake is on the South side of Houston as you head out to Galveston. This meant that we had at least a 45 minute drive as we live on the North side of town. Anyway, she was worth it and my DH was great about sitting in the store while I watched Heidi create. She did some amazing pages and told us about her Grandfather who was an artist, unfortunately he didn't get to see what a great Artist and accomplished business woman she turned out to be. Well, I think he did, just not here with us. I was so excited that she took a photo with me, hugged me and signed my little book! I was so star struck! I actually had butterflies in my tummy as we drove up to the store, LOL. I know, I'm a geek!

Here are photos of some of her creations, I bought two of the kits she taught this weekend, so excited to create with them!

I will be back later with photos of the mini album I created using all digital files from House of 3 since it is in their honor! I need to do some additonal work to it and take better photos. I will also be posting photos of the store, By Design which you will want to see! I'll leave you with a photo of the Kemah Boardwalk for now. Ciao!

*Edited in: I have loaded more photos in Facebook so if you have me loaded as a friend you can check them out there. If you are on Facebook but haven't added me yet, feel free to invite me to be your friend!

HO3's House Warming Party Weekend

Hope you make time to stop by House of 3's site to join in on the fun, they are having a House Warming weekend! I've taken a peek and they have some incredible art that will be available soon. You can use it to print out and create your own stuff and if you are a digital scrapbooker you can download the files. The picture you see here is one I made using some of the digital art they sell. It's not exactly what I wanted but I wanted to show you how you can do cool stuff with their products. Too fun! Hope your weekend is a great one!

New Blog Couture

If you visit my blog now and then you probably know that I like to change up the look of my blog and lately it has been frequently. I have been working on my Photoshop skills which are mostly lacking. What I know is mostly from surfin the net and visiting some sites that offer free tutorials. I have created my own blog headers in the past and just kept my blog background neutral. Well, if you follow my blog (I know I only have 9 followers, hee hee) you know what a HUGE Rhonna Farrer fan I am! Surely you have clicked on the House of 3 Blinkie and if not then WHAT are you waiting for? Well, Rhonna, Heidi Swapp and Janet Hopkins have started up House of 3 and it's already a HUGE hit! It's on their site that I purchased (for just $3.00 total) the background and header you see now. I have bought many other items from them, brushes, hybrid printable kits and other background/headers. So, I will warn you know that my blog will change often. It's become an addiction of mine, like shoes, purses and scrap-ing supplies. LOL I was off today and had a second company come in to give me a bid on flooring, a third is coming tomorrow morning before I head off to work so I better get to bed! Hope your week started out well, ciao for now!
