Using your Silhouette to cut out printed PNG files

Welcome back! Just a quick post to share with you my latest tutorials on how you can print then cut your fun and fab Rhonna Designs!

The Witches silhouette is from the Spooky Silhouettes Brush Kit which includes the files as .PNG files too so go HERE

The photo above shows what I used to cut in the tutorial.  I will then use some pop dots to apply it to that Spooky Backgrounds Printable.  Will look so cute in a frame, well with the glass removed of course.

Simply head on over to my Vimeo Channel located HERE to watch it.  And not to worry, you can always get to my Vimeo Channel by clicking on the link on my right side bar.  Or by searching for NancyWyatt on Vimeo.

cReative Team Tuesday - InstaLovin Layout

Hi there!  Welcome back, as you may have noticed I have not been blogging regularly so let's just call it  my summer break, ha!  Any who, this week I am sharing a quick layout I created using many of the items found from a few of Rhonna's Insta Lovin kits.

I got to see my nieces this past weekend and so they asked me to take some photos of them and of course I jumped at the chance!  I really love how they turned out and I still have so much to learn but I'm trying to not over criticize myself but I sorta do, lol.

Aren't they gorgeous!

And here is the layout that I created with the photo above and another one I took that includes my sister, their mother.

I used my Cameo Silhouette to cut out all the pieces other than the photos.  I also created some instaNotes and printed them out and used one to journal on and the other to add a cute heart icon.

These are the kits I used

I had a lot of fun creating them and if you have any questions please be sure to let me know.  Now head on over to Rhonna's Blog HERE to see what the other design team members have been up to and as Rhonna says her goodbye's to this past years team.

Have a great week friends!

cReative Team Tuesday - Silhouette Cameo and Phonto meet Rhonna's Insta Lovin Kits

Hi there and welcome back! This week I am sharing the video tutorial on how you can use the PNG files from Rhonna's new Insta Lovin Kits with your Silhouette Cameo.
The piece above is what I cut using the new InstaQuotes Kit via the PNG file with my Silhouette Cameo.

You can watch the tutorial at my new Vimeo Channel found HERE to see how I used the PNG file from Rhonna's Insta Quote Kit.

Then be sure to come back for part 2 of today's tutorial!
Using Phonto and Rhonna's Insta Lovin Kits as shown in the instagram photos below. You can click on any photo to see them in a larger size.

Your first step after purchasing the kits is to import them into your iPhone. You can visit our friend Lindzie HERE for great tutorials!  She has two, one showing for windows and another for Mac so be sure to scroll down for both.

And if you have an android and you want to use Phonto or PicsArt with Rhonna's True Type Fonts do the following.
1. Connect your phone to your computer where your Rhonna Designs Insta Lovin files are.
2. Locate the folder on your phone called Phonto/Fonts or PicsArt/Fonts (found on your SD card)
3. Then drag the fonts to those folders and once you unplug your phone and open apps they will load.
4. Be sure you are loading the TTF files

When uploading your instagrams that include Rhonna's digi we would love it if you added the following hashtag #rhonnadesigns  Thanks!

Using True Type Fonts with your Silhouette Cameo

Hi there! I'm back to touch on how you can use your fonts with your Silhouette SD or Silhouette Cameo.  When you load fonts to your computer that also has your Silhouette Software you will get to use those when cutting.  Meaning, any font you buy or download free from the internet will be in your font library when you open your Silhouette Design Software.

So, if you bought all of Rhonna's Insta Lovin Kits this means you can cut them in your Silhouette.  How you ask? Well, Rhonna designed these kits so that all the designs can be used either as a brush, a png or a TTF.  After you purchase the kits and you download them you will see a file titled Font TTF and so when you install that into your Font library on your computer that automatically is recognized by your Silhouette Design Software. Fun right!  I will do a video screen tutorial on this, this weekend so you can see me using them!  Thanks for stopping in!

Spring Continues - cReative Team Tuesday

Hi there, welcome back!  Today I wanted to share with you a few really simple decorations that I did using Rhonna's latest kit.  Now, I say simple but truly they are adorable so even though I know they will wow my guests they were super easy to make!

I have been busy trying to get my new shop up and running and so for me decorating the mantel needed to be quick, cute and easy!  Sometimes just a little goes a long way and so if you think that you don't have time to decorate think again!  You don't have to do it up big to make an impression.

I will tell you this, when one of my nieces was over she told me that she loved that I always made time to do a little decorating for the holidays.  That warmed my heart because I knew that it was special to her. And that maybe, just maybe her Aunt Nancy will make enough of an impact on her that she will do as I do one day.

As usual you may click on the photos to see them in a larger size.

This first photo shows the Happy Day banner that I created, I decided that I would like to leave this one up after Easter.  So, Happy Day it is and will be now that Spring has arrived!  This was quick, I simply printed out the Happy Banner printable kit on 110# card stock that I purchased at the local office supply store.  Cut out the pieces, I decided to ink up the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distressing ink.  That is my fav ink that I go to most times that I want to add a touch of ink to my card stock.

I also used a couple of doily's and some butterflies that I had punched out and ran some jute string along the bottom of the mantel and used small clothes pins to hang them up.  I could have easily taken an extra step to decorate the clothes pins but remember, I wanted it to be quick.

Here is a close up of a couple of the letters, as you can see I simply stapled on a little flag from the same kit. Quick, easy and cute!

This next piece sure does make me happy!  I picked up this pink tray along with a blue one in the $1 bin section at my local Target.  I think it was about $2 or close to that and it was just pink till I decorated it with a chevron cut out I created with my Cameo.  I used a little bit of adhesive to tack it down and decided it would be a cute background accent to the doily and flags!  Swoon, it really did make me happy that little tray!  I used some colored sharpie pens to paint the sticks I use for the flags and doily. Quick, easy and cute!

And this last photo shows one of my favorite Longaberger baskets decorated with another quick, easy and cute pieces from the same kit!

Hope you are inspired to go off and decorate a little area of your home, it truly will inspire you and your family to have a happy day!

Be sure to come back this week, I have an almost finished project on my desk that I will be sharing!  I'm using a frame, some jute, linen and a few other fun things I had on hand to create a fun wall piece.

Hugs from Conroe, TX

Tip: There are quite a few bloggers out there offering a special price on the Cameo till the 28th. One of them is Char at Crap I've Made. I like using her code because she shares lots of projects she makes with her Cameo :)  If you have the Silhouette already then you might consider using her code for the Designer Software.  That is what I'm going to get :)

My mojo is on it's way back!

Well, this weekend I worked on a card for my grandmother and on weeks 6 and 7 of my project life.

Let's start off with the card shown below, I used all things "Follow Your Heart" by Rhonna Farrer for My Mind's Eye.  The papers I used are from the BE AMAZING 6x6 paper pad found at HERE and the embellishments are found HERE.  I added a doily and some sewing pattern paper I had on hand and I love how it turned out!  Today's is my late Grandfather's birthday, the first since we lost him this past December.  We all think of him and miss him but I know it's especially hard for my Grandmother.  I think she will love the card, especially since it's handmade.
Now here is a look at my Project Life, I have decided that for the month of February I would put the main focus on my photos taken for the daily #febphotoaday project. This fun daily photo assignment is being hosted by Chantelle of Fat Mum Slim she lives in Australia.  There are thousands of folks following her instagrams as in over 10,000! WOW!  She has a list for March too so you should play along with us!

OK, on to my pages that I love! Click on any photo to see in a larger size. Sorry for the dark photos, it was a grey day and so my photo taking is not the best.
I have a video tutorial HERE showing you how to use the Cameo to create that Week 6 card above or at least one similar. I also used the Cameo to cut out that honeycomb pattern below and the tutorial for that one is HERE. *nothing like spotting a typo on a journaling card after you post it, ha! I think it will be an easy fix with some washi tape then a re-write with the correct spelling this time, ha~

Can't wait for the 6x12 protector pages so I can change the one used above that is way too big for that insert.  I didn't share the back of that insert because I still have lots of journaling to do on some things that I did that week that I didn't do instagrams on.  I might come back at a later time and add a photo when done to this post.
So all papers used on both pages are from the same line used on the card, those papers were too great not to continue using and I will have to order me a few more 6x6 pads.  I also have the BE HAPPY 6x6 pad, I find that I love using this size as the patterns in the paper are smaller and work so well on cards and in the Project Life cards too.

I won't always be using my cell phone photos, but for this months PL I am happy to use them.  I love all the fun apps that are out there to use with your photos, don't you!

Thanks for stopping in and let me know if you have any questions or need links to anything you have seen.  Sorry for all the excessive jabbering, lol.

Creating a Word Tag for Project Life with your Cameo

I'm back thanks to Nitasha's sweet comment and requests!  Thanks Nitasha for giving me something else to address via my on screen tutorial.  I'm still trying to work out the kinks and so hopefully you will continue to come back.

There are many different ways that Cameo users use their machine to come up with the same end results.  Here are my steps to creating a 4x6 word tag to include in my Project Life.

Thanks for stopping in and be sure to leave any comments, tips or requests you may have.

**After finishing this tutorial I realized that I needed the 7 to be a 6 so I recreated the tag and so come back on Monday for photos of my Project Life pages that include my word tag.

The desktop background shown on my screen is from the Grateful Glam line found Here and the framed Live the life... is found HERE.
