Still a no go on Christmas cards

I tried this evening to start back up on my Christmas cards for the crafts open house and it was a no go. I can't seem to get my creative juices going! I did however work on a birthday card for a co-worker, this stamp is quickly becoming my favorite. I love the birds and the flowers, it looks more like artwork to me. I used alcohol inks, lettuce, butterscotch and cranberry then embossed the image over top. I decided to use foam to pop it off the card in case she wants to remove that piece off the card some day and frame it. I think it would be cute in a small shadow box! It still isn't as cute as I would have liked but it will work. I then took a break but ended up going back to my table to do one more piece. I decided to try my hand at my own version of the acrylic distressed and embossed piece. I think it turned out pretty good however I definitely wish I had the ranger acrylic dabbers as I dropped the sponge I was using to apply the acrylic paint, stained my chair and got it all over myself. I think it turned out really cool, I wish I had a few other cool embellishments to add to it but for my first run I think I am happy with it. Well, it's time to get to bed so hope your week is going well and happy hump day!
