Hi friends! I'm back in town from my whirlwind 4-day girls weekend and geeze I had a great time! I just wanted to drop you a couple of photos as a teaser of what's to come from my day of "treasure hunting" or "junking" as I like to call it, LOL. I hope to get some time to put together the photos for you but for now here are a couple for you viewing pleasure ;)

Here and There
Just stopping in quickly to say hi and in case my one ok, two followers were wondering I am still alive, lol. I went "junking" this past Saturday in Warrenton Texas as I have the last two years. This time it was really special because my new friend Leslie Avila, whom you can visit HERE met up with me :)
She is adorable and oh so sweet and I have to say my new Texas BFF (well, at least in my mind) hehe
I hope she's ok with me posting this one photo of her, isn't she adorable!
Then on Sunday afternoon I headed out to Ft. Worth Texas which is about 3.5hrs from my town of Conroe, TX to meet up with my Blog BFF Melanie whom you can visit HERE
Isn't she adorable too!
She was in from South Carolina so I drove up to meet her as we have been friends for over two years and hadn't yet met in person. We talk on the phone or text each other almost every day and so we were super excited to say the least to finally meet in person!
Well, I better get to bed as we have more fun in store for us tomorrow, our last day to spend together :(
Hope your week started out well! Hugs!

A little sewing
Hi there! I wanted to share a photo (taken with my cellphone) of the camera strap cover I made on Tuesday night :)
I have been wanting to buy one for ages but I couldn't ever pull the trigger, I suppose because in the back of my mind I knew I could make one. Maybe not as great as the ones I've seen but it turned out ok. I used some fabric designed by Heather Bailey that I picked up at the Quilt market. I then made some flowers and added those for a little pick me up :)
I want to make a couple more in other colors, luckily I have more fabrics to play with :)
Thanks for stopping in!

Wacom and Dreams
Hi there! Hope you had a great weekend, I did but realized that I hadn't created a digital piece for entry into a contest that Rhonna is hosting over at her blog www.rhonnadesigns.blogspot.com and it ends tonight.
Here is my entry, I didn't have a lot of time and little mojo but here goes nothing ;) My hand is asleep from using my itrack pad, I think that is what it's called so a Wacom tablet would be a great prize! We'll see if I'm not too late or lucky ;)
** just realized I left off who the author of this quote is, it is Walt Disney :) will have to add that at a later time as I'm off to bed :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day
So did you or are you wearing Green? I wore green today almost didn't because
I hate the pressure of having to wear green on St. Patty's day, ha!
So, I wore my usual black with a green top for a pop of color :) I have walked freely
all day without a worry that I would get pinched. I did however rush home
and take off the green so that the hubby would be forced to pinch me ;)
Ha! As if he needs a reason, that man is always pinching, tickling me, kissing me etc... Love it! Well, don't tell him that I love being tickled because although I do I don't dare want him to find out ;)
Anywho, I wanted to share a few photos of what I had for lunch today. I know not everyone
is a fan of Sushi but I am and so much that I go every Monday (unless I'm out of the office) to have sushi with a friend of mine. She was very cool about me pulling out my big arse camera and taking a photo and then another photo and another and just one more OK ;)
So, this is my favorite roll, it's called Hot Chic and I sometimes joke and say well, since I am a Hot Chic it would only make sense that I order the Hot Chic, LOL
Really, I have said that once or twice, hehe
OK, I don't want to bore you with more words so lets move onto the photos, yum!
Those tiny little dots are fish eggs and they are yummy to me :)
Those big eggs are fish eggs too and they have a much stronger fishy taste and I like them too :)
So, this one below is obviously not Sushi but it's pretty isn't it. It came on top of my friends sushi and she doesn't ever eat it. The white strings are Chinese radish and they have no taste and then there is the edible flower.
OK, well hope you had a great St. Patty's day!!

My Mind's Eye Decorates a Box
Wanted to share with you one of my last class projects that I taught at www.scrappnsavvy.com in February. I'm going to simply post the photos and you can feel free to "scrap lift" the project but please be sure to call out my blog as credit to the design of the project should you use it as inspiration and blog about it. I would simply like this so that folks will learn of my blog so that they can visit for more inspiration.
I used the same box that I used last February in this project HERE
Inside the box are 12 small mini album that can be used to journal a special memory, photo anything your heart desires. I didn't include photos or journaling in my class sample as I felt that the students could easily come up with what the insides of their mini albums should look like.
You should be able to see photos in a larger size if you click on them :)
Another thing that we changed in class was the closure of the box, the store had THESE for sale and so I suggested they use this on top of the box and then add the ribbon loop on the box (where I have the button) and loop it over the knob to close it. Sorry I don't have a photo as we did that in class and I didn't think to photograph it.
Papers used is from My Mind's Eye Lost & found, madison avenue lines found HERE
All the brad embellishments are from that same line.
Used Tim Holtz Journaling Tickets
Heart Doily found at the $1 section at Target
Used a Stampin Up Decorative shape punch for that adorable punched piece you see on most of the mini albums.
This box would look adorable in the new Stella & Rose line by My Mind's Eye and so I plan on making yet another one.
Thanks for stopping by!

Show me the She Art Baby!
Hi there! Hope you had a great week last week, I was waiting for the weekend the whole time so that tells ya what kind of week I had ;)
I wanted to share with you my first project created from the She Art Workshop that is going on right now online. There will be another course offered so go check it out HERE if you want to create your own She Art piece. I created this one for my niece's birthday gift, I was sad to hand it over once I was done but no worries, I can whip up another ;) This course is great, Christy shares so many pointers!
Hope you like it, I sure do!
I used some paper items and ribbon from one of my Girls Loft Kit I had on hand and then used some stamps for texture from the Glitz Girls and one set designed by Rhonna Farrer. If you have any questions on the papers I used just ask away :) If you want to learn how to make your own go HERE
