What is this Spark you speak of?

Hi there friends!

I wanted to take a little of your time to talk about Spark the Event with you in case you were wondering what it is that I am going on and on about :)

Spark the Event is a two day event just outside of Salt Lake City Utah, I attended #2 last year and LOVED it! I had no idea what I was going to be taking as far as classes go but to be honest it didn't matter one bit! I knew that the women who were hosting were amazing, talented and big hearted women so I was sure I would have a wonderful time! And I did, so much that I knew that I would be returning again for #3 no matter what!

The first thing that appealed to me was the cost of the event, $350 for two days worth of classes and lunch and dinner included. And they did not disappoint! There was something for everyone and I learned some new things when I was there. Last year there was a Photography class, Digital Class, Mixed Media class, Wool felting class, mini scrapbook class, we made an adorable flower pin and more and more.  The Spark Girls are the teachers and they are all very talented and so we will learn so much not to mention the others they will bring in to teach :)

Do I need to be a Scrapbooker to attend?
NO, this event is for anyone who loves creativity and inspiration from others.

But I don't know anyone going!
No worries, we have a couple of group pages and the Facebook group page that you can join and get to know fellow attendees.

Do I need to bring a lot of supplies?
Not really, I learned last year that I could have shared some supplies with my fellow Spark sisters so to not have to pack too much as far as tools go. As the event grows near they will call out what you need and you can always coordinate with your friends on who is bringing what to share.

Do I need to bring a lot of extra spending money?
No, well not if you don't want to, lol. They will have some on site artisans there that you can shop from an assortment of handmade items but it's not a must. They are not there to get you to spend a lot of money, they want you to enjoy yourselves! The artisans that will be there are icing on the cake and I know I will end up doing some shopping but I don't feel pressured at all!

Why are you, Nancy, promoting this event so frequently?
First and foremost because I loved attending last year and secondly because I would love to meet as many of my friends there as possible and they are only able to sell 300 seats so hope you don't miss out! Yes, I am helping out on the social side of the event. How? Well just spreading the word and hosting the yahoo group so that we can all get to know each other :)

This event is about US enjoying ourselves and learning, Margie does a great job of making us all feel special and one of the gang! You will enjoy the experience!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have and visit their site often HERE
Thanks for stopping in :)
