Birthday Layout Accomplished

“Accomplish” was my word for this year and I am finding that I am accomplishing more and more of what I set out to do!  But not all, I started Weight Watchers at the first of the year and I’ve stuck to it and have lost a good amount of weight so far!  I’ve accomplished my goal of teaching in a store and the list could go on and on but I will stop there.  Mainly because I have so much more to accomplish, LOL.
So, on to the layout, don’t want to run on and on and loose your interest ;)
So, using some adorable papers from My Mind’s Eye I was able to come up with this layout for my birthday this year.
P7038044The green background paper is So Sophie “Anything for You” Helpful Houndstooth Paper, the Red paper is So Sophie “Best Thing” Ledger Girl Paper.  The stamps used are by Tim Holtz, the large flourish stamp is a stamp once owned by Tim Holtz himself!  YEP, my friend Courtney over at Hand Me A Stamp got to meet him this summer and he gave her the stamp and autographed it to boot!  She was sweet enough to lend it to me (while she kept a close eye on me, hehe).  I knew I wanted that stamp for this layout and I knew she would have it in her goodies bag at our Crop last night at Scrapp’n Savvy  where she and I both teach.  Her class is Altered Escape and you should totally check it out!
I created the flowers with Tim’s Sizzix  Tattered Florals die, the brads used for the flowers I think are from Making Memories but can’t recall as I’ve had them in my stash for sometime without the pkg.  I used some shabby shutters distressing inks on the music paper and some black soot around the edges of the layout and flowers.  The “43” signifies my age and those are Tim Holtz as well and I used a bit of his alcohol ink on them.  The green paper is actually found on the edge of the Houndstooth paper so I simply cut it out and used it.

If you are a local and want to get your hands on that paper stop on over at Scrapp’n Savvy, Kerrie has it available along with many other wonderful My Mind’s Eye Papers (which I brought home to play with and share with you!)  She also has all the Bazzill cardstock colors that you can use on your layouts as well!  If you are interested in taking one of my classes simply click here, my first class is this Wednesday morning at 10am.  We are making an adorable 6x10 album!
Love how it turned out and hope you do too!  Hope you have a wonderful 4th of July!
