I got my Silhouette today, it took me longer to set up than I had hoped but I got it done. I then used my free $25 download card to buy some digital files while they were on sale for .99cents each. I decided to cut out a House of 3 digital file, I know, I know I’m a House of 3 Junkie! I made a simple card and decided this would be my last card made for 2009. I am looking forward to getting back to my creative fun and I hope to share more with you guys. This past year has been a good year but I know that 2010 will be even better! See you next year *wink.

Happy Holidays!
I just wanted to wish all of you, my blogging friends a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! No matter how you celebrate it we all surely agree that Our Heavenly God is making it all possible for us. And should your beliefs take you in another direction then to you too I wish you many blessings! Thanks for taking time out to stop in at my blog now and then and I look forward to continuing to get to know so many of you via your blogs! So I am sharing this years Christmas card with you, I wanted to have a photo of my DH and I in front of the tree but we never got around to it :( So, I went on ahead and dressed it up a bit with some House of 3 digital brushes and I think it turned out nicely. Many hugs from Conroe, TX (that’s Houston to those of you who may not know Texas too well).
Last Minute Teachers Gifts
I created some monogrammed card sets and a monogrammed a celebration countdown all from House of 3 printables aren’t they cute! For the cards I simply printed out some of the background pages and then cut them to the size needed. For their monogram I used some HO3 brushes printed them out, punched them out and glued them on. Poof that easy! Then I decided to make some 4x4 celebration countdown’s again using HO3 printable backgrounds, digital brushes and even House of 3 font. I made sure to let the recipient know that they could easily replace the numbers with photos. I should have gone one step further and printed out the numbers for the month and they could have used it as a calendar without the actual day printed on it so that the set would work for any month….next time. My point is your options are limitless when using these types of tools! And NO, I’m not paid by House of 3 to promote their products I just love their stuff that much! Go check them out here if you haven’t already! If you are curious as to how I made these let me know and I will go into more detail. I am now going to make some 2010 calendars, yes with my House of 3 calendars after all handmade gifts are always a huge hit! Hope you are enjoying these last few days of the year!

Weekend Fun
Well, the weekend is about over and for me it was a pretty productive weekend. I am getting together with some girlfriends tomorrow night to have some girl time and creating, can’t wait! I also worked on my Christmas Journal, I made most of the pages and did some decorating on them. I wasn’t sure what pages I wanted for what days so I haven’t numbered them all, looking forward to working on it all month. Here is a photo of days 1 and 2, on day two I used a photo and some of my House of 3 digital brushes to create the entire page. I truly love using digital brushes it allows me to do some traditional and digital scrapbooking.
I also wanted to share a re-post here of what I made last year to hold necklaces bought for my nieces, a new tradition so I will be able to re-use these adorable packages. So, if you have some extra Pringles containers this might work for you. Have a great week!

Saturday, Part 2
Well, I braved the stores so that I could get some digital files printed and to my dismay they didn’t turn out in the colors that I set them up as. I was disappointed and not sure if my friends will like what the printer did print out? Odd thing is, here in my studio the colors look ok, so maybe it was the fluorescent lights at the store that blew them out of whack? I’ve decided to print out some copies here, they aren’t as shiny as the printer but they look good for an ink jet printer. We will have options if anything, so I got some DVR time just before I came back into my craft studio to work, I watched last nights episode of Ugly Betty. YEP, I like Ugly Betty and I enjoyed it, it’s sort of silly but it helps me relax. Hope to work on my Christmas Journal tonight as well so hopefully I can share some photos with you tomorrow. Have a great Saturday evening! Go Horns!
I’m leaving you with the photo for my day 2 of my Christmas journal, my hubby did some shopping for my niece and I while I was at work this past week. Look at how great a job he did on wrapping! Puts me to shame, oh and he picked out all the wrapping too!
Saturday Part 1
I have been up for hours and hours working on several projects, my Home at Thanksgiving book, House of 3 Welcome sign digital files and my 25 days of Christmas Journal. I am one tired puppy and I still have lots to do today and then I have even more to do when I get back home from my running around. I am going to dare to show you photos of my absolutely messing studio! I always end up spreading everything everywhere and anywhere. Seems like I never have enough table space, as organized as I try to be I’m still not quite there. Any who, here are a couple of photos to keep ya till I finish my projects later tonight and tomorrow. Have a great Saturday! p.s. I know that rug is not the right size or color but it’s a remnant and it will have to do for now. lol
