2 years and counting…..

I am so excited to share with you, my blogging friends a photo of my wonderful hubby and I on our wedding day! Can you tell how happy I was and you probably can’t see but my sweetie had happy tears.

We are celebrating our 2nd anniversary today, Wednesday October 28th. I didn’t marry till I was 40 and let me tell you he was worth the wait! He was a blessing and continues to be and I love him so much each and every day my love grows more. Now that I am with the love of my life I feel so silly for crying over all those other men that I thought were suppose to be the one. I am proud of myself for waiting for the right man, I never knew how much I could love someone or how much someone could love me!

Hope you are having a great week and many hugs from Conroe, TX!

Mini Album Update

Just giving you an update on my Things I Love mini album, I worked on it this past Sunday.  I had intended to do more but before I started creating I had to do some cleaning and organizing of my desk. UGH! Why don’t I clean things up when I’m done working!  I’m sharing a photo of my mess so you see how I left my workspace.  LOL.  The whole point of having my own Craft Studio is so that I can leave things just like this until I’m ready to get back to work.  But, this isn’t always productive!  I also wanted to share with you what I’m using to adhere the paper to the album cardboard pages.  I am using Claudine Hellmuth’s Studio multi-matte medium.  This stuff is magic and I was introduced to it by Tim Holtz at a class he taught this past summer which I was lucky enough to attend!  I also wanted to show you how I re-purposed some packaging.  I cut down the packaging that some embellishments came in and used them as pockets for some of the tags.  I applied ribbon to them and they look great and I love how it allows you to see what will be on the tag.  Sorry about the poor lighting in the photos, I haven’t loaded my Adobe Photoshop to my new laptop so couldn’t tweak them properly.  Hope you are having a great week!

I’m a winner!

Yep, I was chosen from a group of 21er’s from the 21 Challenge that Rhonna Farrer held last month.  As you might recall I participated by holding myself to giving up Carbonated drinks, Ice Cream and Fried Foods for 21 days. She truly is an inspiration and I really didn’t think I could do this challenge and so I’m really proud that I did!

I am so excited to win one of these shadow boxes that Rhonna decorated herself! Didn’t she do an awesome job, here are some photos of her Masterpiece and the link  here to the post where she posted even more photos.  I love, LOVE her designs and so I shop at her House of 3 often! You should go here and check out all the awesome Halloween art they have available! You can do so much with it! And if you are interested in one of these shadow boxes they have those for sale too!

Well, I’m off to email Rhonna my home address! Yippee

My Homemade Rub-Onz Attempt

Hi there! Just wanted to share a project I worked on recently. I’m not totally sold on the turn out but it was a good first try and so I plan on removing the rub-on and trying again.  I purchased some digital art from my favorite girls at House of 3 then printed it out on some Rub-Onz transfer paper I bought at the local Hobby Lobby.  I found the mirror at my local TJ Maxx for a steal! I wanted to get your thoughts on it.  What I don’t like is that the rub-on shows so much of that milky white around the edges and within the art piece itself.  What do you think? How would you tweak if you were me and starting all over? OH! I just thought of something! Maybe I should make the background a solid color? Hmmm.  Help!
